The International Virtual Reality Professionals Association (IVRPA) is an international association of professionals who create and produce VR content. 14th annual conference was held in Belfast, from 10-13th June 2019. and we were proud to be a part of the program, presenting our solution for VR shop.Conference brought together VR professionals from around the world and featured 4 days of talks, workshops, panels, and exhibitors. Attendees could meet the key players at the forefront of the 360º VR industry, exchange experience and establish potential collaboration with international partners.
VR shop presentation was held on 12th of June and captured the attention of the crowd, since VR shop as a commercial product is somewhat a rarity in the industry. We decided to demystify the production process a bit and Otokar, our key speaker, explained how we used several different technologies and put them together to create a viable product. He also talked about challenges that we faced along the way and milestones that had to be achieved before the latest VR shop for Addiko Bank was able to reach the market.
It was also interesting to hear what others in the industry are doing, especially how some companies like Boeing use VR for in-house training purposes or how gigapixel interactive panoramas can be used to create a marketing tool for big crowd events.
On the fun side of conference, Belfast was a beautiful city to visit and the weather was great, so we used this opportunity to capture the vibe of the Northern Ireland, enjoy local cuisine and grab a few pints of Guinness in the colorful pubs.
